The lady and her man visited their house for the first time after handover and realised there's much more to be done then initial plan. What comes surprise are those additional cost to be incurred for changing of aircon pipes, windows & doors which can amount to quite a sum. Still determined to work within their budget, the lady is trying to see what should stay and which to go. Nevertheless, the kitchen and 2 bathrooms will definitely have a complete make-over. Only the granite flooring is staying, the rest basically will become history.

Tiles for home

The lady and her man went to Hafary@Balestier to chose their home tiles today. Gosh, the extensive showroom is simply mind blowing as there are so much designs and textures to chose from. Having to visualize those sample tiles on the actual flooring & wall is tough and required good color matching. With a preference for resort style bathroom and a brighter looking kitchen to compromise their dark granite living hall, they finally decided on the tiles after a good long hr discussion and shopping with their ID.

Ta da!! The lady can't wait to see the 3D dwgs for their home, schedule to be ready next weekend =)

His new toy

To the lady, its just another sedan with more room space. To him, its like having his dream come true. She says,"Manual car, constraint bucket seat, bumpy ride, and white color - means regular car wash required." He says,"You will never understand de lah" Blah, blah, blah... Okay, the lady agrees to let his dream come true. but with 1 condition to change when new addition to the family." He says,"Can change suspension de." She says,"Excuse me, you're talking abt spending extra few grands loh!"

Nothing seems so true until the day the lady fits into a wedding gown and the moment makes her realised "Gosh, I'm really getting married!" Because the lady is skinny, she needs a tulle gown, preferably off shoulder to make her look bigger and wider. With her Grand Shanghai theme, she also needs to have an oriental evening gown suitable for the night.

Divine Couture is lovely for their sexy low backs, use of ruffles and little details on the gown. Silhouette creates such grand tulle gown that they can make you become a true princess.
Amanda Lee takes pride in their embroidery work and their taste on colors simply adds wonders to the usual white gown.

The final decision lies with lady to select her most prefered choice.

Our newly purchased unit

Opps, forget to update on our latest purchase recently- a resale corridor unit in Bukit Panjang. 12yrs flat with a prime location just directly opposite the future BP Hub and Downtown line. With a 24hr coffee hse behind my blk and nearby BP plaza/ Sheng siong supermart across the street, I can basically have everything at my door step =) Not to mention my MIL staying just 10mins away from us and a direct bus just 25min back to Yishun.. Heehee, everything seems perfect but only with 1 condition, accepting a corridor unit with indian neighbours on both sides. Haiz, guess nothing is ideal so long the benefits are greater =) He says: "You can get free invites to celebrate Deepavali and free cooking tips on indian cuisine!"

Okay sounds good.. Let just hope everything will turnout as good as it seems =)

Floor Plan

Obtaining the floor plan means we're 1 step closer to owning a house of our own =) Feeling a mixture of excitement as it means more work & stress to come on planning, budgeting & designing our new home.

Wedding venue at Grand Shanghai

The auspicious date is set on 15-Oct-2011 to hold our customary wedding . The process is tough to hunt for a dinner venue based on our budget and choice date. As many chose to skip "Tiger year" for the year of "Rabbit", we realised most weekends for 2011 are already booked! Those hotels that we shortlisted either required alternative date, a bigger table qty, or opt for luncheon instead. As our parents prefer a weekend and best to keep our date, we finally settled with a restaurant that can cater to all our needs and budget - Grand Shanghai.

Grand Shanghai is a chi-na restaurant with great ambience and deco. A cosy place suitable for max 26 tables, a restaurant with hotel standard and facilities, and most importantly well-liked by our families. After some good reviews from forum and recommendation by his frens, we finally set our decision with the fine restaurant.
